Magnetic Flow Meter
The electromagnetic flow meter has been a tried and trusted, maintenance-free industrial flow measurement device for many years. It is based on Faraday's law of induction, where a voltage is induced in a conductor when it moves within a magnetic field. The conductive fluid passing through the flowmeter forms the moving conductor, and the induced voltage is proportional to the average flow velocity. Fluids with conductivities of 5 micro-siemens/cm and above can be accurately measured by the SAFMAG. Advantages of using electromagnetic flow meters include unrestricted pipe cross-section and independent of density and fluid viscosity. Performance is unaffected by changes in process pressure, temperature and fluid conductivity. All of this, plus a linear output signal, make the SAFMAG an ideal flow meter for a wide variety of applications.Portable Doppler Flow meter
The PDFM3 Portable Doppler Flow meter is a handheld non-invasive microprocessor based meter for measuring the flow rate and total volume of liquids flowing through process and effluent pipelines.
It is suitable for a wide range of liquids, including aerated water, liquids containing suspended solids, slurries and sludges. The PDFM3 requires fluids with a minimum concentration of 100 ppm of solids or bubbles having minimum size of 100 microns.
The flow meter utilises a single clamp-on sensor and the non-intrusive Doppler principle to measure the mean velocity and is particularly useful as a temporary flow indicator or as a working tool to establish and verify flow conditions in field or plant installations.
Doppler Flow meter
The DFM2 Doppler Flow Meter is a microprocessor controlled flow meter for the measurement and control of liquids flowing through process and effluent pipelines using the non-intrusive Doppler principle.
The flow meter display indicates flow rate and total volume for a wide range of liquids, including aerated water, liquids containing suspended solids, slurries and sludges.
The DFM2 requires fluids with a minimum concentration of 100 ppm of solids or bubbles having minimum size of 100 microns.
The DFM2 includes a relay with adjustable high and low set point control, totaliser output and signal loss alarm.
Doppler Flow Switch
The Doppler Flow Switch DFS2 continuously measures the velocity of fluid in pipelines using the non-intrusive Doppler principle. The DFS2 is quick and easy to install with no holes in the pipe, no sensor fouling, no maintenance and no downtime for sensor installation.
The DFS2 is designed for use with fluids, which contain in excess of 0.1% suspended solids or bubbles, having a size greater than 100 microns. Typical applications include slurries, sewage, sludge, pulp, food products, aerated water and abrasives. This versatile flow switch is suitable for use on a variety of metal and plastic pipes.
The DFS2 includes a relay with adjustable high and low setpoint control and adjustable delay-on and delay-off timers. The DFS2 has two selectable flow ranges, 0 - 6ft/s and 0 - 18 ft/s, with the flow rate indicated on the 10 LED bar graph flow indicator.
